Since 1822, Marion County Sheriffs and their deputies have had a single mission—to protect the citizens of Marion County. But times have changed. With change comes challenge; with challenge comes opportunity. In the last seven years, the Marion County Sheriff’s Department has become a modern, specialized, crime-fighting agency. My 36 years of service as a Marion County Deputy Sheriff and extensive executive experience over the past decade makes me uniquely qualified to be your next Sheriff.
I vow to enhance the many accomplishments of Sheriff Frank Anderson and to remain ever vigilant in the protection of our citizens. I welcome the challenging opportunities that we face in keeping our community safe and secure.
From emergency communications (911), to Law Enforcement, to Marion County’s four correctional facilities, to the Civil Division, I will be relentless in my quest to improve each division in the Department and to maintain the harmonic balance between the public and the badge. I humbly ask for your help and assistance as I pursue my vision for the “new” Marion County Sheriff’s Department.
