Vision Statement

 

Since 1822, Marion County Sheriffs and their deputies have had a single mission—to protect the citizens of Marion County.  But times have changed.  With change comes challenge; with challenge comes opportunity.  In the last seven years, the MCSD has become a modern, specialized, crime-fighting agency.  I vow to enhance the many accomplishments of Sheriff Frank Anderson and to remain ever vigilant in the protection of our citizens.  My thirty-six years of service as a Marion County Deputy Sheriff and extensive executive experience over the past decade makes me uniquely qualified to be your next Sheriff.  I welcome the challenging opportunities that we face in keeping our community safe and secure. 

 From emergency communication (911), to Law Enforcement, to Jail, to Civil, I will be relentless in my quest to improve each MCSD division, and to maintain the harmonic balance between the public and the badge.  I humbly ask for your help and assistance as I pursue my vision for the "NEW" Marion County Sheriff’s Department.
